Jen Harrison

Jen has spent over twenty years working in Wisconsin’s innovative Wisconsin Family Care program. Her interest in the Family Care model of support stemmed from the belief that supporting people to live their lives fully can happen in a cost effective manner and that people should have timely access to needed services and supports. Her background in the program includes development of program infrastructure, quality oversight, and leadership in executing contract and quality expectations.

Prior to joining Lakeland Care in October of 2018, Jen held executive roles as Vice President of Care Management Practice, and Chief Operations Officer at another Managed Care Organization (MCO). In both of these roles, Jen oversaw the quality of care provided by MCOs for the Family Care program.  She has also held leadership roles at the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, and MetaStar, Wisconsin’s Quality Improvement Organization. Jen is a Certified Social Worker and has clinical and leadership experience in hospice, home health, nursing home and community care management.

Jen’s leadership philosophy is deeply rooted in Servant Leadership, and she believes that in order to provide excellence in care, leaders must support engaged staff and stakeholder relationships. As COO at Lakeland Care, Jen supports three Divisions, including Care Management, Quality/Member Supports and Network Relations. These divisions directly impact the member experience at Lakeland Care, whether through the relationship they have with their Care Team (RN or Care Manager), the providers who support them, or assuring quality of care and improvement in practice.

Jen holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She holds certifications as an Advanced Practice Social Worker (WI), a Health Care Quality Professional (CPHQ)  and in Servant Leadership.
