Lee

Lee has been a member with Lakeland Care, Inc. since February 2018. Since joining LCI, Lee has a new guardian, has moved into the community and is thriving.

Lee works with Todd Stevens Associations on finding employment in the community. She is developing good friendships, like the one she has with a neighbor, Carol. She also adopted Lucy, her cat, from the Humane Society in May. Lee calls Lucy the best thing that has ever happened to her!

She uses cab tickets to get around to local appointments and is exploring the idea of playing bingo and getting back to church, now that she has transportation methods she can use.

Lee is doing so well with the supports she has in place. She has made the successful transition from a skilled nursing facility to a community-based residential facility to now, living on her own!
